Joan Elric the Baroness

Before she became the feared and revered Woman of Will, Joan Elric was Joan Marsto—a noblewoman of Luulax, born into a proud knightly lineage but suffocated by duty and control. She married the ambitious Calmie Elric in defiance of her family, only to see him fall from grace and drag her through exile, poverty, and grief, culminating in the death of their daughter and his eventual betrayal and death in Parz. Broken but not defeated, Joan’s latent magical gift—Mind Domination—awoke, allowing her to seize control of her captor and rise through Parz’s brutal underworld. She remade herself as a criminal queen, forging alliances, commanding fear and loyalty, and casting aside all remnants of her old life. Though sorrow for her daughter lingered, Joan stood unshaken—free at last, born anew in will and power.
